Today my family decided it was time to get out again. So into the car we went and hopes to find a lock and dam system that had been abandoned however, we were unable to get to the location without being caught. So instead, we drove a little bit further, on the Lincoln Highway, to a little town called Jeanette.
We had actually been here before, and had not found success into getting into any of the locations. We did see a huge factor in the center of the town that we were unable to get to. However, we had heard from online sources that there was another factory that was not far out of town that was easy to get to. So along the road that was like a roller coaster, we traveled until we got there. Little girl was asleep in the backseat so I was on my own for this one. A broken up concrete he'll took me down to what used to be a parking lot. And there I was surrounded by crumbling walls of white ones used to be a glass factory. I was on a strict time schedule, so all I could see where the walls I shoot system that was pretty gosh darn awesome. I was also able to see a guard tower/cabin. It was really awesome! Only drawback, came back into the car covered in ticks. Nothing like driving back to the city and a tank top in your underwear!
our final stop took us to in a banded house that was for sale. Nothing like a for sale sign inside that gives you the permission to go up to the top of the driveway. The house itself looks rather old, but the inside was completely empty and didn't look like it was that old or had been abandoned that long. The sheds outback were awesome with a lot of really cool old stuff inside. The architecture was rather unique and it was a fun little find after the glass factory. This one, we will definitely be back, but with bug spray! Check us out on Facebook at Urbex For The Fsmily! Like our page and see tons of great stuff!!!
